Snetterton 12/13th Sept
Isn't anybody gonna start with the weekends fun?? Here's a few discussion topics:
Ace weather, started well with an Apache Helicopter flying over very low ( over to you bludge: serial number and pilots name??)
Ace day on Saturday or (blindin if yer a southern jess)
A whole day of ' fairin off, seat off get it on the stands' ( in Johns best Enfield accent - see above !!)
Had to watch the 1st race from the start finish watching Messrs Houghton and Thomas romp away followed by Ed/Victoria and Gray/Bedford havin a reet good scrap. Apparently Brian has got the transponster in the nose of the outfit so he got the second.
2nd race we had a great scrap with Smithy and Gristwood culminating in him over cooking it into the hairpin and us pipping him to the post with Karl giving the prerequisite 2 fingers to em..
Major league booze up in the bar with Ben Gray and the Bad Boys giving it large and everybody havin a hoot. Special mention to the Gristwood ladies for getting seriously wasted.
Sunday - Up for practice being the only outfit that wanted to go out.
Missed it by 30 seconds in the end.
1st race cracking start bags of fun, ht lead came loose around the far corners before the haipin, what fun putting it back especialy with a high output ignition unit (my arm ached a bit after we came back in ). Then - 'fairin off seat off get it on the staaands'......
2nd race even better start 3rd into 1st corner doh!! what do we do now!! another cracking race except for giving Ian a shunt on his poorly foot. But the new gearbox was ace, what a difference!!
All in all a top weekend
So go on then you lot.........

Has to be the best weekends racing i've ever had. The band on Saturday night was really good and it was good to have a catch up with everyone. Had some great scraps with Brian and Alan all weekend..... roll on Cadwell.

Re: Snetterton 12/13th Sept
Fantastic weekend, was Saturday afternoon supposed to be a rolling start? Had some great battles untill we dug up a few spuds. I don't think I have ever seen Snet' so hot and sunny. It made up for it on sunday though. Apologies to anyone we cut in front of or similar, takes a bit of getting used to that these things have width........ Although I don't know how we avoided running into the back of the couple whose clutch died half way round Richies. All in a weekends racing. Nice to put faces to names. Many thanks to Ian for letting us take part.

That's a cracking body in the background of the paddock picture, Helen was actually trying to take a picture of me but Edd and Brian got in the way of the camera!

Re: Snetterton 12/13th Sept
Could I take this opportunity on behalf of Louby lou Racing ( P2/No.50 ) to thank all the boys and girls for all there help at the weekend.
No more so than "On the Edge race" team No.27 Andy Rayner and crew. The two new ( New
boys
) on the block so to speak.
Not only did they very sportingly DNF in the second race on Saturday, (to keep the P2 championship race alive?)because we DNF't in the first race.
They like use worked feverishly well into drinking time to get both out fits ready for a real show down of pure power and nurve on Sunday.
I was so moved by there sporting out look and commitment, that I dipped my hand in my own pocket and offered to help pay for there fuel( just to make sure they would be out.) They graciously turned this down as they said that although they appreciated the kind gesture, they would have enough. So my offer of a gallon of diesel was not needed?
Come the Sunday and you could cut our disappointment with a knife, when Andy said he was falling on his sward ( well not in so many words ) as some of the oily metal bits that should be whizzing round inside the old Triumph were not WHIZZING at all?
Again all credit to the boys. No throwing the teddy out of the pram, even after I asked if they had now nothing to do,would they like to help us out in our campo? By tiding up,give our van a wash/valet and put the kettle on...
I also had time with ace spanner man and BMW Engine tuner Roger Bennett in the Kingsmill camp.Roger was on about getting a few more horses out of the BIG Boxer.I said funny but we could do with a couple of pony's as well in our BSA. If he has a moment to spare.
So I thought long and hard while in the loo, returning to Roger with a cunning out of the box plan that will go a long way to help?
Get the Rotherham Flyer and the Ruislp Bullet joint membership of Weight Watchers over the winter....
I would also like to thank the owners of Snetteton for a superb and very well organised meeting.
Not only did we have hot water all weekend in the very clean showers, but a shower curtain each, sink with mirror, both taps working and a real rubber PLUG...All credit as well must go to all who attended the meeting as the PLUG was still there late Sunday night...
I would also like to thank the check out girl who works in the holding area Sue.Who very kindly introduced me to the Track Supremo while I was sat astride my 32cc Paddock bike..
That's her off our Christmas card list..
Once again thanks to all for a very good weekend..See you all at Cadwell..
