Be interesting to see how much Peachy "suffers" considering Thruxton is a high speed circuit.

Look forward to seeing the lap times.

Ok...................... slightly off topic...

what rules ? are we talking the standard engine ones.. ?

Have any been confirmed ??

and if so for which series are they aimed at .. FSRA / Thundersport / British Championship ?

Will these affect Club..?

Or any of the other rumoured championships or amalgamations??

Has anyone heard what is occuring 2010
Ok...... its got three wheels, they're pointing the right way..... what could possibly go wrong  :notworthy:

Karl. Hardly think Peachy will "suffer" when he only needs a finish, lap times mean nothing
Remember "Points make Prizes" not fastest laps or race wins.  :D

Personally I don't think he'll be that far off the pace, hence why I said "suffer" in speach marks. A good driver on a standard engine could beat a lesser driver on a highly tuned engine.

All credit to him trying out a standard engine, but if it's 10 second of the lap time of a tuned engine. IF you don't have to run a standard engine (has anybody actually seen next years regs yet!) Then he's not going to be able to successfully defend his title, so with in mind laps could mean something.

Assuming it 2 races with a possible 50 up for graps, if Roger was to win both races, Peachy would still need 19 point to garuantee the championship win, so would need 2 top 5 finishes.

I can confirm the K8 will run in standard form, but with K6 injectors i think. Its possible Superside will run in Superstock trim next year, as the German is now. Its called `hedging your bets` Dodge, dont panic and worry about next year when this one is over ;)

Or come to the AGM and find out :D As far as I know nothing's changing in the UK for 2010 in F1 or Open class, what Superside or anyone else is doing don't know.

Qualified on pole, on only the 4th lap on a track neither of them had been too, so the motor was pretty good for sure. Standard is the way forward for sure.

Al... was only panicking as I was having an engine picked up from Thruxton to be rebuilt through the closed season, which I put on hold..

Hope you enjoyed the big un at the weekend.. nice bike..

As Big Al said, Pole Position on an unfamilier track in 4 laps not far off the record shows that a stock K8 aint far off a highly tuned one if ridden well (or to extreme maybe?) !
And I know it was bought, delivered, and intstalled as it came from Mal. Also Scud had to put a standard motor in for Snetterton before that and was well within a second of Peachy's Pole Time there when Peche had the 'missile' before it destroyed itself (£xxxxx down the toilet).

I know I've said it before - but BHP doesn't always make for a better engine/lap time for many people - especially at most British Circuits. And certainly the extra BHP from a highly tuned engine of the variety produced up North vs a Standard K8 doesn't add up if you were a (sidecar) Accountant looking at lap times :D Something like £500 per 1 BHP which equals something like £1,000 + per 1/10th of a second around Snetterton - one of the quickest tracks in the country :o (Ok this isn't a mathematic study, so correct me if i'm wrong please).

Stock IS the way forward (talking about the British series - and the Club stuff should follow eventually - if not by natural selection), so the sooner the regs are sorted so people know the future - the better.
