My old outfit
Anyone know if my 1st outfit is still about. I bought it from someone near Gatwick in the late 80s. It had been converted so all the brakes were operated by hand by a previous owner. It came with pipes for a 4 cylinder 2 stroke engine. I didnt do anything with it because it was too much of a project for me at the time so sold it a few months later to fund another outfit that was complete. Can,t remember who I sold it to either.
Hows that for a sketchy story

Maybe an MGF? I had a 1980 one & parts on that look very similar.

Re: My old outfit
The owner I got it off had both legs, it was a previous owner that converted/had it built that way.

I go along with Tony Calvey

It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

In 1980 Tony Calvey with Alex Greatwood with their 1,000 cc machine, had been racing for about 4 years under the name "JC Racing" Tony said "when we started everyone was using flashy names. We decided to call ourselves after the character Joe Cool in the Peanuts strip- more of a joke really. Since then, the name has stuck."
They almost quit in 80 as money was a real problem. Tony said " I think we are the only team in the world with a one legged man".
