You mean Wed 3rd March surely ;) as for staying and doing the Friday alas no as I am neither rich (still awaiting that elusive lottery win  ) nor retired (so getting time off work is difficult ). Mind you having now seen that Knockhill is running some car race on the Sat pm may well give that meeting a swerve and that will free up a couple of days and a vast sum of money for a southener  Are you and Christine coming then Dennis (to the Wed test day)?

I'm starting to smell a rat!! That 1200cc Imp with the 5 bearing crank sold on E-bay recently obviously went to someone with a few bob in his pocket and time on his hands!! Do we know anybody like that??

With reference to Knockhill the oval car meeting you speak about takes place after our racing on Saturday evening and they also have their own paddock. So those of us who love motorsport will doubtless enjoy the spectacle - if not fixing our own outfits - after our racing has finished on Saturday.

It is possibly one of the best kept secrets that North Kent section of the CRMC meet on the first Thursday of every month in the Kentagon at Brands Hatch, with BBQ's, auctions, and quiz nights throughout the year and an annual dinner with presentation of trophies. The sidecar brigade has good representation, Phil Luhr and Buddha representing Team Gristwood amongst others. So, if any of you Northerners find yourself that way us softie Southerners will be more than happy to buy you a drink or two providing your're not drinking expensive drinks!!

P.S. Just had a phone call to say my block is ready for collection.

P.P.S. A huge thanks to Reg Charlesworth who stopped in this afternoon to show me the correct positioning of my knobs to get the TIG welder working - you can't beat a pro!
