Dad and Mossy. Not scans, but we'll hopefully get them scanned at some stage. Thanks Mum for sending in the snaps though, they help you get the idea :D I wonder where his glove went :?

I think it was something to do with an oil loss Jim. I do sort of remember him mentioning it but at the time I wasn't really into sidecar racing as much as now. I wish I'd listened to him more when he was here, but don't most of us say that when someone you love so much is gone?

Cheers Steve & Eve :D

Steve, you are so right about not appreciating someone until it's too late :(
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

The Palace closed in '72 for cars and '75 or '76 for bikes.
We used to sit in the garden and listen to the racing when we were kids.

It was the last bike meeting in 72,a friend of mine was a reserve and did not get a ride, and i cursed because i didnt get an entry accepted and i knew i would never be able to ride there again.I have a program from that meeting with a pic of me and Darren Dixons dad on his Saab outfit on the left hander after the start line. I think you will find that it was the cars that went on to 75 or 76.

It was the quickest meeting we ever got to ,we just crossed the road, Anerley Hill, and we were there, and then we went to see the prehistoric monster s in Crystal Palace Park,.
