We are looking to go testing at Pembrey on the Friday - so that's another outfit. Will contact them next week.

Regarding final instructions, tickets etc., it's still a bit early yet - these usually arrive about a week before the event.

As far as the CRMC forum is concerned I prefer the softly softly catchee monkee approach. We are trying to coerce the non-believers into believing that a forum is a good thing, and if you get head-on conflict it will just make people entrench. If people wrote nice letters or sent nice comments on how they miss the forum and what a wonderful thing it was and how it enhanced the club's appeal that would work better than accusing various committee members of being old f***ts and stuck in their ways, that need to get out more and smell the coffee!

Ian Johnson :witch:
CRMC Sidecar Bloke/Old F***t who's IT skills are next to none - well actually are NONE - but believes that if the CRMC could run a forum half as well as that Steve English bloke they wouldn't be going far wrong.

Please be nice -I'm new to all this!
I noticed the general practise day avertised with NG and on the Pembrey website, noting that this was before the CMRC racing however there was no mention of a class restriction. I rang Pembrey and asked about sidecar testing and was informed as long as enough sidecars book in then we go out.
In the next post on this forum I noticed it asked if either 2x 30mins sessions or 6x 10 mins sessions were prefered, all said it seemed 6x 10 min sessions was preferred.
However when I tried to book the blokie stated the sidecar practice was really for classic's and he did not like the idea of mixing classes, however as long as no more classics book in he'd allow us out! but for only 2 or 3 sessions!
Being a newbie please can you advise, do you classic's have an issue with other 'classes' mixing on track? If you have booked were you told you would have the 6 sessions?
I think as many as possible should book - it would be so good to see how they would cope with that!!

Karen we have never had a problem with F2 and F1 outfits being out with us. Happens all the time at Mallory - makes it interesting as you modern ones do stange things like brake  Seriously though no problem to us and I am sure the other classic guys. Pembrey (as usual) seem to be the only ones with an issue

As one of the "modern" bikes hoping to practice at Pembrey Friday could I ask all of you Classic boys and to girls who intend practicing Friday to comment on whether you would be happy for us to share track time with you.
Perhaps we could then use any, hopefully, favourable response as persuasion to the Pembrey management to allow us out.
Speaking for myself, it would only be my 2nd time back on track after 20+ years out, so I very much doubt whether I will be any faster, if at all, than most of you, but hopefully not too slow to be causing any hinderance.
Looking forward to seeing your response and hopefully meeting a few of you on Friday.

As Triplebrew says we regularly share sessions at Mallory Park Test days so I can't see there's a problem.

If we can't all miss each other on a track the size of Pembrey there must be something very wrong! I can't see there being more than 15 of us at best, and so long as the modern things get out of the way when the classics come through.............

How about a challenge - every time a classic outfit overtakes an F2 - the F2 drivers buy the classic guys a round of drinks!

No problem for me. We always share at Mallory without a problem.

I first person I spoke to said 6 x 10min sessions. When I called back she said it may have to be 4 x 15min sessions. Again, fine by me. I'm not interested in 2 x 30min session.

We would have enjoyed the challenge, however, Pembrey wont let us out!
