Pembrey Practice Onboard Video

Just some onboard video from the practice day at Pembrey yesterday.
My 1st time out at Pembrey in 22 years for me , 1st time on track at the circuit (I think) for passenger, Roy Glover, (Mr Kaza1, LOL), and 1st time on this bike for Roy.
I felt better as the day went on and the track dried, stayed on the wets all day as rain more or less always threatened.
Came away reasonably pleased but after watching the videos realise I'm going to have to find some pace, hopefully that'll come with slicks, a dry track, proper gearing and a cleaner running motor. Even so still enjoyed it out there.

Just a couple of questions - what camera are you using - and how did you mount it ?
I had a camera on at Cadwell during practice a couple of weeks ago - but the output is really shaky - so wondering about the best way to mount these on-board cameras to avoid the shakiness... - or maybe Pembrey track surface is a lot smoother than Cadwell ?...

The camera is a "veho muvi" micro dv camcorder that my good lady got me for christmas.
I think these have been mentioned on here recently in varying names.
I'm afraid the mounting was a little basic, one of the little mounts that came with the sports pack that came with the camera. this was then attached to one of the rad air intake slots with lots of cable ties to stop in blowing back on it's hinge.
One problem with the camera is, you have no way of knowing what you've recorded until it's plugged into a computer later so I think an element of beginners luck was involved. lol

I thought I'd add a photo of the camera mounting, as you can see it was positioned and secured with precision

The camera I have is very similar - a cheapo copy from Hong Kong though - don't know how it compares with the "proper" job - but I have found a few comments saying the cheapo cameras come with a not particularly good memory card - which can cause the "shakes" problem...
When I ordered it - there was the option to buy with or without memory card - should have bought without - and got a better quality memory card elsewhere, it seems
I mounted mine in a similar position - but had made a small angled bracket - and sandwiched a piece of rubber under it - and bolted to the fairing by the wheel arch - not at all sure whether it was too rigid - or too "wobbly"

Yes - and it produces a pretty big file too - not messed around with movie stuff much before - but have found a freeware program to do a bit of editing called VirtualDub - anyone have any suggestions for any other editing progs - or ways to reduce the video file size ?
Apart from the "shakes" - it's amazing how well the camera works - considering the cost - and that it's so tiny...
