It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

Re: Mallory Park - 2nd May
No idea who's going but it should be interesting on Saturday evening as there is a track event with some magazine 'practical performance car' ; so we are going to have to wait for that lot to bugger off before we can get in there.
Anyone know if there is a sidecar paddock? really liked the Pembrey outer paddock come leper colony thing.
Must remember to fit the Neon lights under the transit and get my baseball cap on back to front or should that be a beanie??? (not back to front of course!)
Must admit , really looking forward to Mallory

Re: Mallory Park - 2nd May
Entry turned up yesterday so I guess there is space on the grid as we sent it late (mind you sent it with the entry for Darley so that one won't be late!). Looking forward to it.

Re: Mallory Park - 2nd May
Went to a committee meeting today - whilst I don't yet have a printout of names, John Davidson told me that we are just one outfit short of a full grid!! That's not a euphemism e.g. a sandwich short of a picnic!!
As soon as I have anything further you'll be the first to know.
I do know Ian McGhee is out with Roger Holmes, some bloke called Etheridge is on a 1299cc Imp (if that's a 1299 Den must be number dyslexic?? Can't spell it!!). Steve Stevenson has entered on his 900cc Broadstock BSA but I think he may have pulled out - being a windy Northerner he's seen the competition and deemed it to be too hot!! I do remember Mike Bellaby's name being mentioned, mainly because he seems to forget his SAE when he sends in his entry, and Matt Kingsmill's passenger is TBA again
Because of the concern over what time we will be able to access Mallory on Saturday evening (it will definitely be after 5p.m. and probably nearer 7 p.m.) Sally is hoping to open the office from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. for signing on and Dave Davis should have an army of scrutineers starting at 7.a.m. Sunday morning.
As traffic wishing to leave the paddock blocks the collecting area/pit lane the decision has been taken that no vehicles will be allowed out of the paddock area during the meeting, apart from the lunch break (if you've had a really bad day!). So, DO NOT queue up early to get out of the circuit - the smoother the day runs the more track time everyone gets.
