Thanks people,I need a 12 inch front I know you cant get the 4" jobs so I turned up a half inch bit of ally and sandwiched it in between the split rim so now got a 4 and half inch so need to know if the 12 inch Yoko`s will fit,

Pete, you given up the idea of going to 10" wheels then? I recall when the Ledermanns were running the ex Quaife sponsored Windle that had 12" wheels and they used Dunlops? Not sure why - whether they could not source Yokohamas in the size or if they prefered the Dunlop.

I had loads of problems getting eligible and decent 12" tyres.

Dunlop don't make them that often and they had ran out when I needed them. So I changed to 10" all round.

Being a tight Git, I have a genuine Pagehiln 4 x 12 front wheel that I actually bought new from him in the late 70`s so I thought I`d use it as it has twin discs but I do know that Yoko do a 12" low profile that is the same rolling radius as a 10" but its a tad wider than 4",the reason for all this is I started building another chassis and am trying to use up all my odds and sods,12" are a problem, Monsieur George Rozez,he of the ex GP 500 Rennsport and nearly 80 may have to quit because he cant find a 12x4 and he cant widen the wheel because that would mean new forks, and so it goes on,I guess the 12" is the same width as the 10 which presumably is a metric 5"

Monsieur Peter, George Rozez needs a 12inch tyre for his sidecar, the rennsport has 16inch wheels. When i get home from Jersey I am sure I have a complete sidecar wheel also [as rare as roching horse poo] a 300 by 16 dunlop i will look in the shed. Dont think Yoko do a 12inch tyre, modern small cars have these, try local tyre depot.. cheers D & C
