It was a great win for Nigel Rollason on the front exit Barton Phoenix, but it was a 750 motor, not a 350 !

Proper sidecar racing Craig :D :D. Got those rose tinted specs on again but there was something special about those 750s at the TT. Like working all night and going out next morning without any sleep  .They were much more exiting to ride than what we have had at the TT since though ;) ;).

If anyone wants to see or hear the Barton Phoenix, Nigel has entered it into the Festival of 1000 Bikes at Mallory on the 11th July and also Paul Hanson on another one. There will also be many other nice outfits, including AJS's, Bee Emms (Derek Plummer on one), Triumphs, Manx Nortons, Vincents (including the Ward Mogvin), Morgans and a couple of old gits on BSA's 8-)

Slightly off topic but during the filming of Silver Dream Racer the director kept asking 'supporting riders' like Roger Marshall, Dave Potter et al to make it look like a race and not ride along the Brands top straight sittig up with a hand on hip :P :P :P :P :P
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!
