Re: TT Newcomers Award
The regs used to state that a newcomer could not have qaulified or started a TT race. Either as driver /passenger or one one of those funny two wheeled things! There may also be a bit of who you know not what you know going on! I believe I am the only person to have recieved a silver rep for the newcomers as well as the gold medals!!!!
I may be bald, but at least I'm fast (well I used to be!)

Ian and Craig finished 5th Micheal. In their first practice in 95 they followed your dad around for two laps and lapped at over 101mph
.Craig wasnt too pleased when they got back.

Re: TT Newcomers Award
Mark Halliday & Myself won it in 2000 but were denied the trophy as the organisers decided to give it to Dave Calvert & Stu Bond despite Dave having competed before as a driver allbeit in the 70s.
No worries though I know we won it & thats all that matters.
