Thanks chaps - got back from the trip on Tuesday evening utterely shattered but what a trip!!! Well worth it, starting with the CRMC meet at Knockhill and then on to czech for the CZ TT and another meeting in Dvur Kralove.
The road race at Horice is absolutely superb the ciricuit is 5.5km long going through the town and then up into the hills, its ace although a bit 'sporty' in places.
The result so made up for the previous year where we broke the crankshaft on the 1st lap of practice..
Bludge - Terry, there are no photos from Horice because Karl had his camera stolen at the campsite inbetween the meetings so no pictures of the celebrations which went on for most of the following week.
We went on to the meeting to Dvur Kralove which we were doing basically only because we were already over there and what a surprise it turned out to be. The whole town turns out to watch the race which is a bit of a hobsons choice as the circuit is all in the town anyway. Seriously close obstacles but so long as you treat it with respect its real hoot to go round. There are 2 practices sessions on the saturday and a race on the sunday and we spent the 1st session learning the circuit and the 2nd we tagged onto the local favorite ( the dude on the photograph on the other posting) and then proceeded to wind him up with some serious late braking. The race on the sunday was the last on the schedule as sidecars are so popular they know all the people will stay to the end... and they really do love the 'sidekary'
On the warm down lap you get to do a slow parading lap without helmets and they stop you outside the pub for a beer!!!
Was it worth it?? - Oh yeah
Would we do it again?? - already booked
Would we recommend it?? - Only if you want to be worshipped as a sidecar star, drink shed loads of booze save a fortune on tabs and see ample amounts of premium 'squeeze'
