Re: Wayne Gardner demands immediate TT ban
If they were going to ban it , they should have done that in 1970, when sadly 6 people died, lt is really a shame when some one dies racing, but if they are to enjoy there life they just have to do it, and we should be proud of them for doing just that. Not all of us like gardening, mind you thats not safe ,when you get a thorn in your finger.
When the wind blows ,we shall have snow! Hope not ,

[quote]“The problem is the substantial prize money on offer. Not surprisingly, riders who don't go so well on closed circuits in the UK see a great opportunity to head over and collect quite a lot of money. To me, that's insanity. It's just too big a carrot for inexperienced riders.”[quote]
Thats why the sidecar grid was half empty!
[quote]“While I never actually raced at the TT, I had a good chance to learn the circuit in the early '80s when I was riding for Moriwaki. Basically there's no room for error.[quote]
Says it all, YOU never actually raced at the TT !
[quote]On a course that long, you cannot possibly remember every corner, every braking point or every change in elevation or direction.”[quote]
Wayne Gardner aka a James Hunt is obviously a TT course specialist.

Re: Wayne Gardner demands immediate TT ban
The inexperienced riders don't get the big money, the experienced ones do because they CAN remember every corner, every braking point and change in elevation or direction, because they have raced at the TT and not just ridden round it on an early 80's shed.
Poor old Wayne, you have to pity the bloke's mind.
Of course this IS on crash.net, my favourite tabloid website
I'm surprised that they got this on so soon it normally takes them a couple of months to find interesting slagging to pinch from other sites.

Frankly I don't give XXXX for the 'Wollagong Wild One's' thoughts
While we are at it why not therefore ban boxing, mountain climbing, pizza eating competitions, etc. I'm not even acquainted with any of these but I think they ought to be banned because they are dangerous too
Why? Because I say so

It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

Now, for further reference, and to silence any overly voluminous contrarians on any subject that you may be required to respond suitably, the stock answer shall from this moment be "Bob says so"

I find his remarks distasteful and extremely disrespectful. Paul Dobbs and Martin Loicht were not rejects from short circuits. I think some apologies would be in order from this ill-mannered lout.
Happiness is three-wheeled.
