I would like to congratulate Matt Kingsmill and Alan Bedford on clinching the Period 3 Championship, albeit, it would appear, by 1 point! If you look at Matt's results - 1 DNF and lowest finish 3rd it's pretty impressive.
As most riders are aware the passenger is little more than a sack of spuds - the fact that Alan has won back to back championships with different drivers must make him the King Edward of passengers!!
Commiserations at the same time must go to Ed and Vicky who find themselves in second place two years running by the smallest of margins. It has to be said that whilst the rest of us did our best these two crews were the creme de la creme. Am impressive third place in P3 for Simon Smith and Dave Gristwood whose season started much better than it finished.
In Period 1 the two Daves, Messrs Crawford & Baxter in their first year with the CRMC, aboard their BMW, squeezed the two Maidstone pensioners, Dennis & Christine Etheridge into second place.
In Period 2 Reg and Kerry Charlesworth's consistency aboard the BSA secured them the championship ahead of Andy Rayner and Loraine Bown.
A big thanks to everyone who competed in the CRMC sidecar championship this year, wherever you ran on the grid making it THE classic sidecar championship to compete in.
