Nigel Rollason won one of the sidecar races in 1986, and I think he won a MGP race on a solo too ?
*edit* Had a look at the TT database - he won the 1971 MGP Senior race.

Ian didnt race solos at the Manx or TT. He was on the verge of entering the production TT in 96 but his passenger wasnt happy about it.
Our dad raced at the Manx, Clubmans TT and the TT before turning to sidecars in 64.

Robin raced in the Manx on his 7R in 1957
wouldn't it be fantastic for him to be riding in the TT on a sidecar some 54 years later

Now that, Annette, must be a record unlikely to be beaten - 54 years between TT appearnces

It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

I drove in the TT 1993 - 1996, rode solo in the Manx GP in 1998 & 1999, and won a F2 race at Jurby as a passenger in 1992.
Does that count?
