I was wondering if anybody remembered somthing about the Rumble Suzuki?

A friend has (probably) the last long outfit Derek built sat in his garage...

Does he live here in Oz? If so, I saw him at SBK Phillip Island on the weekend.

That would probably be Derek Rumble Junior - he moved over there about 20 years ago - Derek Rumble Senior - still lives at Ormskirk...(he did last time I spoke to him)
It was Derek senior that built the bikes.

my dad had the 1st long bike rumble built,he bought it in about 1989 with a suzuki gs1085 engine,then a gsx1100 then a kawasaki zx10 engine.his passenger was the post classic man stu mellor.he sold it around 1992.
why when you are going fast does it seem slow!.

I bumped into to 'Old man Rumble' in Ormskirk on Saturday as we que'd for an ice cream in Thorntons, he was sporting his TTRA cap and was proud to tell my kids he used to race on the IOM from 1968-1990....

We spoke about various TT Parades and how the cost to those taking part was excessive when you consider they invite you as an ex rider to bring your machines over to the IOM and then all the costs involved.....

He told me he had converted his classic machine to hand change ,just in case he is invited to the Ormskirk Festival of speed sheduled for the August bank hollida 2011.

Anyway he was delighted to see my kids wearing TT colours, but didn't have a clue who I was,,, :shock:
