Maurice Tombs phone number ?
could anyone help please , we have found out that our sidecar was used by Maurice Tombs in 1968 where he had a sixth place . we would like to contact him but cant seen to get a number. can anyone help with a number please !

I do not have a phone number but I remember Maurice and his brother having
a BMW chassis built by Rob North around that time. Also Rob built them an Imp
afterwards which looks remarkably like one of the Gristwood Team Imps which
was bought from Dennis Ertridge last year.

That's correct. Dave LePavoux's Imp has a Rob North chassis.

yes dick , ours is a rob north chassis, i have been doing some reserch, my dad rode it in 1972 tt, john write bailey rode it in 1970 and 71 tt, stuart applegate rode it in 1969, and maurice tombs rode it in 1968, but i havent spoke to maurice yes, i am hopeing there is another rider in 1967 ?? can you pm his number please dick, thanksdick hawes wrote:I do not have a phone number but I remember Maurice and his brother having

Jason, bearing in mind that Maurice raced in the 1965 TT when I was only 17 years old and I am now 63 you may be clutching at straws

Oi RP! I was only twenty one for the 1965 TT despite what Thundersport Syd and Dave Stuart would have folk believe and I'm still about - at least I was when I last looked 

It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!
