I'm pretty certain that I know who was the last crew to ride a 'sitter' outfit at the TT, as an old pal of mine was the passenger.
Does anyone else know who it was, just to confirm my thoughts?
Names and date please.............................

Did John Booth, with passenger (possibly Danny Chapman ?) not ride a sitter outfit at the TT in the late 90's (1996 at a guess) with CBR 600's in ? I think this may have been in practise only, they also had the Ireson with them for the race. I remember them bringing the sitter to Elvington (on the old square layout) at the start of that year for a shakedown before the TT as it was more comfortable for John to ride.
Tim,i remember that,John said it was all over the place, all i remember was that they took the outfit over to use on open roads and then decided to take the outfit out for practice !!!!!,they soon went back to the old Ireson
I reckon that the last sitter outfit to actually start in a TT race was the Triton ridden by Neil Sutherland and passengered by Mortimer Murray in 1975. It was hopelessly outclassed by everything else in the field, lapping at about 65mph.
I await to be proven wrong...........................
This is a good question really. The last one I have in my records for the book was in 1975 and sideslip is right. Well thats the last one I have down as starting a race.
Here is another question for you guys. When did the first kneeler outfit appear?
Eric and my father rode a sitter at the 1960TT. But I think there were sitters throughout the 1960s, further down the field. Kneelers were still very new and expensive...
