34 crews lapped at more than 100mph this year, 6 of whom who achieved the mark for the first time – Carl Fenwick, Nicholas Dukes, Frank Lelias, Andy King, Miles Bennett and Michael Grabmuller. Out of those 34 crews, 17 set new personal best laps.

153 crews have now lapped the Mountain Course at more than 100mph, with 20 of these having done more than 110mph. A few selected speeds are as follows:

1st Nick Crowe/Daniel Sayle (2007) 116.667mph
25th Bill Currie/Robert Biggs (2010) 108.858mph
50th Tony Thirkell/Nigel Barlow (2011) 106.415mph
75th Nick Edwards/Brian Marris (1983) 104.480mph
= Mick Burcombe/Colin Hardman (1988) 104.480mph
100th Victor Jefford/Peter Hill (1989) 102.940mph

150th Cliff Pritchard/Kevin Morgan (2003) 100.290mph
153rd Michael Lines/Kevin Perry (2010) 100.070mph

In terms of how many racing laps at more than 100mph drivers have done, Kenny Howles continues to lead the way on 92 followed by Roy Hanks (81), Dave Molyneux (79), Mick Boddice snr (66), John Holden (59) and Tony Baker (58).

Looking at the F2 class alone, 117 drivers have now done over 100mph with the same 20 having done over 110mph. Howles also leads the way here with 76 racing laps at more than 100mph – on this chart he’s followed by Hanks (70), Molyneux (64), Holden (59), Steve Norbury (56) and Tony Thirkell (51).

And finally, 110mph+ racing laps - Molyneux has done the most with 34, followed by Holden (26), Nick Crowe (23), and Norbury, Klaus Klaffenbock and Tim Reeves (all 18).
