National Motorcycle Museum trip

Unread post by clooksIOM »

Hi Guys just thought I would share a couple of pcs from the NMM that I went to visit recently. I loved the solo machines but they had tucked away all the decent sidecars yet again at the back... I made this point to one of the staff and got the reply of 'well people only really come here for the bikes', can't tell you how dissapointed I was when i discoverd tucked away at the back this...

not sure i know how to post pics so this might go terribly wrong lol

I thought exactly that too when I went - such wonderful machines deserve their own section not hidden away at the back

I to was dissapointed when we visited on our way to the TT. Great collection of bikes but I did expect more racing sidecars.

Hi Larry,

Amazing coincidence that we bumped in to each other at the museum though wasn't it?

It was indeed, we were the only two people in the place interested in sidecar, and my friend who was with me as well. As I recall you were with your son and toutering him on a bit of sidecar racing history.

Did you ask why the sidecars were not clearly visible,? Sometimes the people who display them would change it around if they were told
