Rob Cameron + Paul Randall F2 outfits

Unread post by sidecar 151 »

Paul (Winki) Randall and me started off on an old converted JACOBS Chassis the end of 94' We sold this outfit end of 95 after competing in the 95'British Championships. Can't remember who the hell we sold it to? Had a CBR600 motor.

We the bought from Roger Winterburn the "Windy Corner" CBR600 and sold this to we think Dongo end of 97' season

The last F2 outfit we raced was a Moly chassis Bought from Terry Beecroft with the Team Tee Bee backing, we took the Ymaha out and fitted a CBR600 because we were receiving help from Honda at the time. This went to ???? The firemen?? but we do know end of 1999

Just be interested to know where they are now & if they are still on track.

Was it Mike Cookson that had the first bike?

Matt. is right i bought the Moly off Him but it was in 2003 i did that season with the Honda's in then MR Equipe fitted ZX6R motors in at the end of 2003.
We made a few alterations Terry made me a new bottow loop to reduce the trail, ( it was heavy on the steering prior to that ) we fitted new rear Maxton suspension and altered the brake lever pivot point, this bike is a good un.
I sold the bike to Steve kershaw in 2005 and i believe he sold it to a chap in Germany, still with the ZX6R motors in it.

Yes Dick your old bike still had Kawasakis in when it went to Germany. I had just checked over both engines before Steve and his dad sold it. Your not kidding about the Moly being heavy . When I got ours off Rob Fisher I couldnt believe how heavy it was .Terry Windle and I did measurements over the phone and the new longer swinging arms arrived. Must admit though we put the origional swinging arm back in for the TT and it was spot on. As for brakes on a Moly ,they were the best brakes Ive ever experienced on any outfit. :D
