The problem I see is that there are 750 teams out there that would compete in CRMC but not until they can have a dedicated race and the club have the problem of not having enough 750's for that to happen, so i think it's up to the teams to rectify this by entering in increasing numbers.I don't think it can be done by the club just putting on another race before entries rise (cart before the horse) as this may not be a cost effective way of doing it.I think its for the teams to show their intention's and commitment through entries rather than just talk, action's speak louder than word's. We are currently building a new 750 on 16' wheel's for the coming season. Not to forget that CRMC have a period 4 class with very few entries so there could be room there for more bikes !! could it be that at present there is not enough interest from owner's and rider's? To push the envelope you need action's more than the word's.
Very well put 666, but in the off season we could at least see more verbal support from those who want to race!!
Bill please P.M.me your Phone number and I will ring you , Forums are great unfortunateley people tend to read what they want to read as opposed to what has actually been written.
666,You are correct, this is the reason, that Ive always raced my old BSA in the BHR,because 750s have there own race, you have the possibility with a 750,to enter the 3 wheeler races as well for a small fee,and its possible to get invited into the handicap race for free as well, giving a possibility of having 5 races in one day,as opposed to 2.
The other reason,is that its cheaper to have a bike capable of winning.
Having said, that,if there was a seperate race for 750s in the CRMC,I would definently enter a couple of meetings and see how it went.
Steve,if required,Ill put Stu or Dave in touch with anyone interested in putting a bike on the FSRA post classic grid.
