im not happy with anti twostroke comment,
we all have fourstrokes, and use them for their proper purpose, generating electricity!

Oh - come on - they do have other uses...
Lawn mowers
Sludge pumps
Shopping
Commuting etc, etc.....
Ok - that's enough - :offtopic:
2 strokes are the future...

I believe this is a Hopper Armstrong; taken from another thread on here from a while back.

I think that was one Sammy originally posted a couple of years back. He may well have some others too, so maybe worth trying a p.m. perhaps ?

Did John Hartell have an Armstrong-powered Hopper?
I know he had one Hopper that he "cut into very small pieces to prevent it falling into anybody else's hands". If I remember correctly this was the second one he had owned.
So how long have I had these voices in my head, I hear you ask?

The chassis was not a Hopper it was a shed I bought from Stuart Applegate without seeing it,I took it on his word that "it was a good un!" some people have starange ideas what is good!

oldbelly wrote: Thu Jan 12, 2012 4:05 pm It wasnt a Hopper they threw in the skip. It was a shed of a chassis with a fourstroke in. It fell apart coming into the Nook (nice slow place to crash). They took off what they wanted , put the chassis in the skip and went on a pub crawl around the cicuit with the van. They did a pub each day and slept in the van for the rest of the TT.
Aye thats correct Geoff, it was Mullens idea honest. It took us three days to get to Ginger Hall.
I remember waking up in the morning we just looked at each other headed back to the pits packed up and headed home, it still took us two days or so to get back as Mullen still had a thirst.
It was Jim Campbell our passenger at the time who cut the chassis up, we gave him the honour.
