Re: Who?
We have been talking with Terry Windle and said he has never ever converted a 16" wheeler to 10" wheels. He made the Alan Samsum chassis with 12" front 10"rear & sidecar. The Ledermans had him make new front forks and fit 10" wheel because Dunlop 12" tyres were not available. As I said before when I bought the sidecar in Tonbridge Alan Samsum and Quaife engineerings home town the bike had Suzuki engine. Cheers Dence DENNIS two N,s please

Re: Who?
totally uninformed outsiders observation, but the bike in the pic does look like a 16" front, also,if you look really closely at the seat it looks like the bike in the pic has a twinshock rear end?Dont recall the Leddermans bike having a twinshock rear end?I maybe wrong, would have to consult my library to be sure.So If,Im correct? Is it reasonable to assume(assumption being the mother of all....)that you gentleman are in fact talking about TWO different bikes, and that the only things they share in common was the same owner and engines?Just a thought.

Re: Who?
Exactly my thoughts Tony. I'm staying out of this one, just asked who the driver was!
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

Re: Who?
My info came from my mate who was the passenger and also Alan's nephew Chris Emmins in the pic. we saw Ledermans bike at Lydden and Chris thought he recognised the bike as the one he rode with Alan in the TT with a lot of alterations, of coarse he may have been mistaken and Dennis may well be right, but we are all allowed mistakes,he spoke of certain parts of the chassis he thought were part of the original 16" wheeled chassis. But alas i cannot clarify this with him as he is no longer with us.

Re: Who?
Thanks John. Much easier these days due to a lack of diversity
