Re: Rear wheel and chain oil containment

been testing today with my chain brushes and i can tell you all after three sessions there was absolutely no deterioration on them.i sprayed chain lube on them first though.
i am totally shocked as was everybody there,i would post a pic but they look like i just fitted them :D

only problem i had was the overheating rear calliper  .never had an issue with it before, hope its not being starved of cooling air from my containment as the rear wheel is now somewhat air tight :? :?
We broke something, I think it was traction….........

A great job Brian
Yes I to was suprised how good your idea was and like you after about 40 Plus laps of mallory I was really suprised to see
the brushes looking brand new and they didnt wipe ANY oil of the chain in fact i think they
lubed the chain better.
so if anyone is strugling as to what to do look at Brians photos and I think it only cost him about a fiver and some time.
well done mate the impossable has been done.

nothing wrong at all with that Ian :D

as you've seen from my pics a while ago, its more or less the same as mine and the chain doesn't need to got through flaps etc unless it is within the 50mm tray, chich it isnt. My bike was even used as a good example by the scrute's at cadwell yesterday so it'll do for me :D

jc :D
The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight.

But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upwards in the night.

I've lifted the oil containment at the side of the engine to take into account next years increase in height.

I took the shell off my racing snail thinking it would make him faster.
It just made him more sluggish.

looks good ian,but with the oil containment you have there right behind the engine there is no need at all for your wheel arch mate :)
dont forget your plate from under your seat to the frame :D
