It has changed immeasurably! You will find it almost unrecognisable. So many empty hotels were knocked down and replaced with tawdry flats. The Grandstand, of course was rebuilt in 1982, and would be improved by demolition!
The Island itself, however, is just as beautiful.

You're probably right, GK... I'm hopeless on dates! It still needs knocking down and rebuilding! When they built it, they reckoned the TT would be finished in 5 years... it had no toilets, only one, very steep concrete stairway, and the concrete is not good, so water doesn't seep into it, it pours. The place is a slum! None of the adjacent buildings had toilets either... Crap design? LOL!
