Dave, thanks very much for the info...by the way your spelling of Brian's name makes more sense than that on the trophy...which is McAnelly...I wonder how he felt about that..?? just for the record it was Jimmy Law who unfortunately died a year or so ago...an incredible guy and life and sole of any collection of people that included him...also ace passenger...RIP Jimmy..

Bill, it is McAnelly NOT McAnally. He was killed at a Scottish meeting. At Beverage Park in 1966.

Funny you should say that Bill but it does sound better as "McAnally" and that is how my old man used to say it. However people who knew him well, Geoff Atkinson / Sonny Sarginson ,who raced with them in their grass track days always said McAnelly. Geoff also passengered Brian before he started with Malcolm Hobson. :)

Hi Bill
According to a Snetterton programme from 4th September 1960 Edgar Peacock's passenger was a G Layfield. Hope it helps.

Bill
Brian McAnelly's passenger at the TT in 1964 was P Horsfield if its of any use. Sorry I can't help with Alistair. No sign of him in any of my 1970 programmes so must have stayed north of the border. Wasn't even in the TT programme.

Hi Bill, spoke to Edgars widdow, and brother today. His passenger was Graham Layfield, whos knickname was "Kipper",he was riding an ex Cyril Smith Manx Norton.
Apparently in 1960 at Olivers Mount he had quite a battle with Helmut Fath.
Hope the info helps Bill,if you ever get your list published please let me know,as his widdow would like a copy.
