I forgot to mention that Ray and Matty are no relation to us. When I raced with my dad Geordie Bell we had some good races with Ray and Gordon Russel on his Vincent and then the Konig outfits

Pictures of Ray Bell with Mick France in the chair, 1968 and 1969 TT, racing the Rennsport BMW prepared by his brother Matty Bell and an outfit with a road going RS90 motor fitted.

My Dad was a customer of Matys(my dad comes from Shildon),I believe Ray was lap record holder at Croft for a while, possibly 76?on the ex Trevor Ireson Konig.Im pretty sure I have a pic of that somewhere.I also believe they used to have a rather quick Vincent outfit.

Re: Ray and Matt Bell? Anyone help?
It was on the Vincent that Ray realy made his name, especialy with Gordon Russel as passenger . They changed to an ex Stuart Applegate Konig after that with more success. After that Konig came the realy bonny Trevor Ireson Konig outfit. Then they got a TZ 750 outfit with a chassis built by Ken Blacklock , I think. Ray never liked the Yamaha though , said he prefered the Konigs. After 75 Terry Bradley was Rays passenger.
