Tuesday night after practice

Unread post by Helen Gibson »

It has been arranged that we have use of the Conference Centre at the TT grandstand after practice on Tuesday night. This is to allow newcomers (and maybe not so new comers) to get together to discuss any questions or problems, after a couple of dashes down Bray Hill.

Dave Molyneux has offered his time... are there any others who would be willing to offer their experience?

I'll try to arrange tea / coffee etc.

THIS IS NOT A MEETING TO DISCUSS ISSUES TO REFER BACK TO ACU ETC...IT IS A LEARNING GROUP. :)

No, but no reason why they can't arrange a similar thing, maybe Monday night, or in the Hailwood centre? Speak to Johnny Barton? Hasn't been done before, so it's a sidecar initiative this time.

Moly has also said that any newcomer is welcome to approach him for advice or help at any time (I think that might be a rash statement, but I'm sure you would all know when not to!)

I am sure most of our fellow sidecar teams would be equally as generous with their help. Shared experience is great, and maybe the best time for it is once you have had a couple of laps.

This year a DVD is being made specifically for Sidecar TT Newcomers based on a lap by :notworthy: Tony Baker / Fiona Baker-Milligan. [celebrate.gif]

Stu Castles is now involved, to advise passengers.

Just thinking it might be good to involve someone technical too... any sggestions??

All sidecar competitors are welcome to come, and I hope it will develop into a kind of open forum... it's not just a lecture from Moly and Stu, so please come and ask your questions or share your experience. I'll try to organise some tea / coffee etc.

Are potential future competitors welcome to lurk in the back row?
Looks like another fantastic learning opportunity!
