I thought at the price, they could afford to be hung up in the garage, it would cost more to pay someone to repair a set.

Anyone on here buy them?, they made £50, £25 a pipe, that's less than the material to make a set, never mind weld them up.

Hi Keith - wasn't me
The only problem buying a set like that - is that you still have to cut them up to fit your own chassis layout - I've made a few sets for myself in the past - buying the front bends from Tony Green ?? - and the silencers - and making the rest up.
I did buy a kit form set off Bill Ryde ? from Metmachex a long time ago - good set of pipes.
I also had a go at making a blown set - didn't quite finish the job - & other stuff meant it had to be put to one side...

Hi Gordon, I have made a few sets myself, I used to draw up the patterns and a mate who has a sheet metal business, cut out the steel for me and I rolled them up and welded them together, it took forever but my patterns got thrown out, so I'll not be going down that road again.

If I ever want to make another set, the firm that cuts my head gaskets and base plates for the kettles, will draw them up and cut them out, then I would just weld them up into shape, no cutting.
