I really can't be bothered to scroll back 13 pages, but if my memory (which some may question) serves me well, after Dick's dispassionate piece I would surely have said that we, who are fortunate enough to race classic sidecars with the Classic Club, have had a fantastic year, whether on the track with 36 fellow competitors, at the Gristwood BBQ, or the karaoke at Pembrey - we have had a great year - see I've even forgotten the Race of the Year at Silverstone with the band Saturday night! We have enjoyed each others company on and off the circuit.

Due to lack of machinery in 2012 I personally failed to get to Belgium but spent the day in the garage today with Kevin, my passenger, polishing the outfit ready for next season. So hopefully next year we will do the CRMC rounds, Chimay and Gedinne (and if I get an entry - some Camathias rounds). Not because any one is better than any other - they're all different - just for the joy of racing! Trust me I didn't become Chairman of the CRMC as an ego trip but to defend and further sidecar racing in the club.

As far as Howard's Konig is concerned I received a very nice letter from Howard over Christmas, and we - that's Howard and myself, will proceed in private.

The only worthy response to Dick's last posting - 5' 10". Hope that helps.

In response to Raring to Go - who I wish well with his beautiful engines, - I've been trying to pursuade a gentleman who has an original twin-engined Crescent outfit, to get it out of the workshop and on the track. It's a bit like the 750's having their own grid in the CRMC - we're getting there, but slowly.

As I've said before - we are having a ball at the CRMC - if you have a classic outfit come and join us. And I think it's time that Richard started to talk to his wife again - so Steve pull the pin!

Gentlemen, thank you for an interesting and almost informative thread :D
As you can tell the Mods haven't locked, I'm sure Ian is cursing us for it but I think on the quiet is loving the attention  The moderators have taken the view that you are all gentlemen who know each other and would do exactly the same in any bar at any circuit you happened to be at in good humour and faith so to moderate would be like having the landlord kicking asking if you had homes to go to and ruining the evening ;)

If there ARE any real grievances, either keep them to yourselves or put them through the appropriate moderating channelsm - I'm sure you have all read the Rules of Engagement before stepping into the fray of course ;)

I would personally like to congratulate you all on the good humour, and keeping so many entertained for so long in the winter months, and at 13 pages we're just getting started

Hi Tony,

The 5 has a tolerance of plus or minus .5 giving a maximum of 5.5

The 10 is ideal for a Yokahama, good in the wet, good in the dry.

Part 2 - 5 has a similar tolerance of .5 giving a maximum of 5.5

The 13 is ideal for an Avon, according to some not as good in the wet but good in the dry.

So looking out the window if this continues for the rest of the year I'd go for 5' 10"

I'd like to wish everyone who has raced a classic sidecar in the Classic Club a very Happy New Year and successful 2013 season.
