Pre TT Classic 2013

Unread post by tomsk »

Entry forms will be available very soon. From the Southern 100 Web site or race secretary George Peach.
Last years competitors should receive them in the post.
An important reminder,as at last years event,an oil containment system must be fitted to all four stroke
machines. This obviously includes sidecars. This is because the Southern 100 is a "closed roads" circuit.
Any problems or questions regarding either please don't hesitate to contact me on,
01624 825260 or 07624 353171 or paul_nancy@hotmail.co.uk
See you soon, Paul Thomas.

Hi Paul,
In Dicks post about the Camathias Cup races the up to 750cc twin cylinder class will have red plates with white numbers, while in the Southern 100 regs sidecars will have the usual white background and black numbers.
Does this mean if I am lucky enough to be invited to race in the Camathias Cup race I will need to change plates?
Regards,

Hello there,i am sure you will be able to keep the same plates.
If there is a problem the club has backgrounds and numbers at the club HQ,
so it won't be a problem.
Paul.

Good points Paul and Smithy..... Should the Southern 100 club not allow red plates
then we will supply smaller red discs which can be stuck alongside the front and side
plates. I think it is a good idea to identify the smaller engined outfits so that we can
appreciate good performances. Brian Toombs for example rode a great race last year
without due recognition.

We should all remember the stirling work done by the officials, marshalls, and [most
important for me] :notworthy:the tea hut ladies who not only work hard during the meeting
but also spend many hours filling and placing straw bails etc to prepare the circuit.

Steve.....Did you hear about the Irishman who got a job in
B&Q. The foreman told him to go and get a black and decker,
so he went out and floored a negro lady.

Thanks for the news regarding 'our great' lady in Nobles

"Pallister and Mariner" probably the longest pairing in sidecar racing , or can anyone tell of a longer one ?

Lenny is too quick to talk about it......but he somehow manages to :notworthy:

Great news folks......4 lap race Saturday......6 lap race Monday morning..... 4 lap race Monday afternoon

THANK YOU GEORGE PEACH AND THE COMMITTEE FOR THE BEST MEETING OF THE YEAR.
[although the Bob Mac event is also supposed to be brilliant]

I suggest any newcomers ask Mr Nicholson [committee] to reccomend a great restaurant in Port Erin

Okay Dick,

Give us the name of this Restaurant !

I also agree the Classic pre TT is a fantastic meeting. So is the Bob Mac, and it would be nice to see some more of the southern UK stalwarts making the trip to Scotland.
