newbie with a windle F1

Unread post by Mike Waleboer »

Hello everyone,

i'm new here.we(my and André schreuder) go to ride the dutch championsship in 2013 with a windle 2002(building by tom hanks,ex steve williamson)
the dutch sidecar racing association is owner of the sidecar, and we can use it this year.
the windle from 2002 has a suzuki gsx 1000r k6,and colin nicholson make the sidecar as new last winter.
but there are little things that we make good,
we've got a error in high rpm's possible the camshaftsensor,
can someone tell me what plug numbers and connector we must connect,so that we read a errorcode on the dash?
original denso ecu.

Sorry for my english, but most people understand it,

greetz

To fault read you need to find the six pin white dealer plug here you need to find white/red and black/white. Short these two together and you can read codes if you have a std dash.
Alternatively you can buy a healtec system as I have. It will give you live data, fault code reference and actuation tests :D
Camshaft sensor fault code is c11

C22 - ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SENSOR
C23 - TIPOVER SENSOR
C24 - IGNITION SIGNAL #1
C25 - IGNITION SIGNAL #2
C26 - IGNITION SIGNAL #3
C27 - IGNITION SIGNAL #4
C28 - SECONDARY THROTTLE VALVE ACTUATOR
C29 - SECONDARY THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
C30 - SECONDARY THROTTLE CONTROL UNIT
C31 - GEAR POSITION SENSOR
C32 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #1
C33 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #2
C34 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #3
C35 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #4
C41 - FUEL PUMP CONTROL SYSTEM
C42 - IGNITION SWITCH SIGNAL
C46 - EXHAUST CONTROL VALVE ACTUATOR (01-02 1000 and 06-07 600/750/1000 ONLY)

When mine failed at high revs it was a faulty secondary injector wire.

English is good Mike and welcome to the forum.

the c00 is normal, no errors. the "-" in front of c00 is throttle position sensor check. Sound be in middle at idle, should move up at about 2500rpm. If not in center, then adjust TPS.

To test for error codes, run bike untill FI light comes on, go to pit and DO NOT shut down engine.
Then put wire on and read codes. The computer stores several recent failure codes. If you turn it off, codes are GONE.

Rick,

If you have more than one code does it scroll through them automatically or do you have to press something?

It toggles through them. I had a problem with mine where the salt had corroded the ignition fuse, hard left turn caused a momentary engine 'HICCUP". The codes showed each primary coil fail in order.

C49 is EGR valve on top of head. to remove; place rubber tubing between ports and clamp.
Solder 20 ohm, 5 watt resistor on the two wires. This will stop the alarm. I'm not sure if alarm changes any computer settings but it will mask other problems. The only tinme the red light should come on is when switch on and engine not running (oil pressure, etc)

we have a week ago testing on the tt junior track at assen,
we have problems in high rpm,its like a jawa 350  only when the temp on 180F is!
when we can ride full power.no big problems a little bit of nervous,
no faultcode!! (checkt with runing engine after the lap with problems)

now i was cleaning the injection systeem,
this engine runing without de highest gasvalves(only the axis of the throttle position sensor is int)

now im cleaning the injector but i dont understand this thing:

the 2 injectors left of the first and second injectiongalery are other numbers than the right 2's of the primair and secondair galery.

i have 4 injectors with number:

UE 19 BBE
and 4 of this:
UF01 ABE

is it normal 2 different numbers in 1 line?or have someone put the injectors in't on a drunken mondaymorning?

what is the right place for the injectors?

Sludge in oil could be some water in oil; head gasket?
Broken shaft, oil pump is gear-driven from clutch, water pump is free on end of shaft. Only way I can think you would have shaft breakage is sonethinig broken in water pump (like vane on pump)

Engine will go rich over 220 degF, where are you mesuring water temp?

The motor looks like it may have been left with water in during a cold spell and frozen . If the motor was fired up at this time the drive would shear off the end of the oil pump shaft. Ive seen a solo teams K6 have this happen, the water in the oil came from a popped core plug in the head.
