OK, not strictly sidecar, but... SAAB

Unread post by Helen Gibson »

Is there anyone out there who has two-stroke SAAB engines / spares and has given up the idea of putting them in an outfit? A rally guy in the Isle of Man is looking for stuff to keep his car going, and this might be a way of clearing that corner of the garage and getting some dosh to do something else??

Contact me if you can help..

The DKW 3 pot engine is the same and there are plenty of them in Argentina and South Africa, it is a long way to those places but there are plenty.

Hi Helen A guy called Holmes raced a Saab outfit some years back and I dont think he has ever appeared after his crash at East Fortune Bob Mac meeting. This may be of some help.

That would be Richard Holmes (on here), ex CRMC Eligibility Bloke.

Jim Norbury at Lockside Engineering in Castleford raced them for years. I think he may have some.

Rumour has it that a well tuned Saab will match a Konig ;-)
