Also, Darley Moor will once again be the location of our Taxi Rides (P6 parade) during Sunday lunch break. Any one interested in taking a willing victim out on the track please let the co-ordinators (Emma Kingsmill and Michelle Luhr) of this over-subscribed event!!

Finally - don't forget your fancy dress for Saturday night, 60's, 70's or 80's, with a Fish and Chip Supper for £3 a head and a band in the marquee. Let's forget the snow of Brands and enjoy the warm hospitality of Darley Moor.

Sounds good but I think Kieran (Mogli) might be a little nervous. Looking forward to the fish and chips.

Great line up! The need for a 750cc race is also looking good, 8 on grid with the potential of another 4 P3 riders showing an interest in racing in two classes and bringing their 750's out to play and I would imagine once we are at that stage then there must be others that will come out of the woodwork to join in too!

So come on all of you that have 750's sitting in the workshop gathering dust, let Ian Johnson know that you would definitely be interested in airing them if there was a 750cc only race.

Start getting things ready Ian! 8-)

At the moment things are very much at the discussion/persuasion stage and is very much dependent on numbers.
There are a couple of proposals on the table but the main push is for a 750cc class regardless whether twin or multi or 16" or 10/12" wheels. i.e. currently P1 & P2 classes as run under the CRMC rules, with a separate British twin class running inside the main championship. So a British twin would obtain points towards both championships. So engines such as the Triumph triple and the Honda would be eligible. There is much more to the finer details as to keep things from running away and Steve Riley is the man behind it and so both he and Ian Johnson would be the best people to speak to but after speaking to Steve at Brands the above is what is believed the preferred option by the riders, so far.

Speaking personally, I have found there to be a growing interest in this proposal and believe it may not be too far away when the 750's have a grid of their own. So here's to hoping eh! :D

Thanks for the info, interesting to see that a separate championship for British twins, Question, As I have an American twin can I have my own championship so that I alone can win it, thereby getting me the fame and rewards that I so richly deserve, but which have eluded me throughout my illustrious career.

Yours modestly

Peter, As you sound like a fantastic guy and completely deserve to be recognised for your bare faced cheek, then on this occasion Im sure we can accommodate you with a very positive answer...NO!
:D

And just to clarify, my previous post was purely on current ideas being talked about and nothing has been set in stone...YET! ;)

Hi Chaps

Firstly the 750 "thing" is still very much a discussion point - sure I would like to see the 750's out on their own. The huge problem here is - where do you fit them in an already full CRMC race schedule and at the moment the maximum number we have ever had was 12 at the Race of the Year, and I doubt if we had twelve still running in the last race of the weekend. If the plan then is to just grab anything with a 750 badge on it - Hondas, Triumph Triples, you will gain numbers but if you're not careful destroy what you were trying to achieve. So, I'm all ears BUT....................

The Bill Barrowcliff is NOT happening at Darley Moor - we could classify this as a typing error!

Simon - reference your refund - we refunded you nothing as you paid nothing in the first place - therefore you have been fully recompensed!
