I got in touch with them when Steve Norbury was killed at Hockenhiem and asked why there had been NO mention of it in MCN, Gary Pinching's reply was, sidecars don't sell bikes, I haven't bought the sheaf of toilet paper since and I was a regular reader for over 40 years.

We were lucky . When we won the TT the coverage was first class with Norrie and his young understudy Chris Herron. In later years we spent time with Norrie , over a few beers in the Manx Arms sorting out his facts for the Manx paper he worked for at the TT. This would be in the mid to late 90s. He said the MCN was finished as a sporting paper then.

Maybe a sign of improvement today when skimming through in supermarket....2 photos , 5 paragraphs and race result (top 10) for Monday's race.
