I'll have a look around the shed, you never know what you'll find in there. ;) ;)
I took the shell off my racing snail thinking it would make him faster.
It just made him more sluggish.

In all seriousness Bruce, if you were to come across one I'd say you would be looking at, in excess of £50,000. & I think that would fall short.

Hi Bruce, ask your friend if he has the rennsport gearbox and final drive unit. They are very different to the road bike units, the rennsport engine runs backwards. Therefore rennsport units are not compatible with road units.

new engine parts for the Rennsport engine are available in Germany.

New crankcases, crankshafts, gearbox cases, 5 speed clusters, barrels, cylinder heads etc.

for example brand new crankcases are 4200 euro.

I think with a bit of luck you can make a complete new engine with what´s available, would guess around 25K for that.

Hi Bruce, I have a German contact who has three outfits and two spare motors, but does not wish to sell anything.

The Heinz Luthringshauser museum in Otterbach has several members with contacts for spares but a complete engine

is out of the question. I would guess 50k plus for a good engine would be a real bargain
