I have to agree, the emphasis has not been on the racing since the event was reinvented as the TT " FESTIVAL".
It has suffered from that day, the overpaid spin doctors will say otherwise, but just look at the depleted grids in the sidecar class.
If the huge sums of money ( wasted by the grossly overpaid officialdom and media personel on tempting riders who do not realy want to compete at the TT, and "celebrity riders to do a demonstration lap) was paid to the midfield stalwarts, then perhaps the TT may just return to its glory days.
The organisers need to wake up and realise that to have a successful race meeting you need a strong, committed field of riders, and race marshals.
Now is the time to start treating these people with the respect they are due.

I'm not knocking anyone, just pure frustration of how the sidecar race(s) ALWAYS gets the "shitty end of the stick" when due to unforeseen circumstances schedules are changed!

To be fair the C of C Gary Thompson has done another great job this year. :notworthy:
They could NOT have run today as the mist came in & you could not see across the road at the Bungalow.
Gone, (thank god) are the days when Jim used to keep saying " another 20 mins " all day, at least Gary calls the shot there & then & not keep P++sing people & more importantly MARSHALLS about.
I know that information has become much better than in Jims day but someone still has it on their head that is now Gary & BIG on him I say....Stress what stress.
You may mention practice week as well but the C of C has no control of the weather & the spectators who think they can, then end up closing the road for the racers & everyone else's disappointment. He has been fair to ALL classes for 2 weeks I think.l
