I knew both Mac and Kenny well. I was at the top of bray Hill on that fateful day. I will never forget it. The bike is ex Gawley and was the blue print for the one I have now.

Off topic eddy, I can tell you a good story or us trying to get into Oulton Park with Kenny Arthur & Kenny Birch trying his best to forge passes to get into the paddock. Reminds me of when we were with Kenny, hiding in the back of the van, at gone past midnight, with Charlie Wilkinson on the gate at Cadwell Park, with Charlie Wilkinson chaseing us round the paddock, he wouldn't let a penny past him. Good days.

I remember Geoff and Kenny Birch leading the Austrian Grand Prix at the Salzburgring on the konig outfit way in front of Klaus Enders.
If I remember correctly he recieved pit signals to ease off and having done so was caught and passed by Klaus.
I bought the bike from him at the end of 1994 having finished 4th in the TT and wishing to move on
It was a fantastic machine, so light to steer and so smooth.
Geoff was a great engineer and a superb rider. The first of the Brits to challenge the German monopoly for many years.

There is a great pic of this old bike with Jeff Gawley riding it. I'm not sure who is in the chair. I can say though that the replica Rod Bellas has built handles like a dream. I much prefer it to the 13" Wheel 1000cc outfit.
