Show54: Auto66 SideCar Bonanza! Annette Daykin, Wilf Nelson, Shaun Manchester and Damien Holt from Scrubbers Leathers.
Well we come once again to the last chance to run the bike in anger, its always been a funny time of year for me, the underlying feeling of lost opportunities and the nagging drought that I could have done better. At the same time of course the knowledge that we had taken the advantage from the mistakes that others have made, and by did we haha!
The Auto66 SideCar Bonanza, an event that has long been asked for by members and occasional visitors to the Auto66 grid has been a massive success and was for our team a great way to end the season on a high when all the championships were over.
Some big parties on the paddock on Saturday night and some brilliant Salopian Shropshire Gold real ale to help us along!
Please remember that now we are in the off season, I want to come to your house to talk about your life both in racing and the bits that folk don’t know about. Contact me at any time.
As always my thanks to all involved this week.

Show55 A frank and at times emotional chat with Mike Crawford
.
All the way up there at Newton Aycliffe I chat to a man who’s whole life has been around racing sidecars.
All motor racing has supper highs and disastrous lows, Mike tells of the tragic deaths of Malcolm Hobson and Kenny Birch at the 1978 TT and the affect it had on his father and indeed the lasting effect it had on himself.
Mike, a charismatic and likeable man also talks about his son the remarkable Lee Crawford
and his hopes for the future.
Great Time and lots more to come!!

Re: The SideCar Show Presented by SlowPhil.
Easingwold, north Yorkshire is a small and in a lot of ways an unassuming sort of place. Not the sort of town that might hold one of the highest achieving sportsmen that Britain has ever produced.
Yet that’s where you will find Steve Webster
, ten times World Champion and a true gentleman to boot!
In this the first of three programs on Steve’s life we talk about his life, from childhood looking on as his father won three British championships on the grass. Right through to being a front line world competitor.
Steve took some knocks and glory on the way but, wow there is so much more to come!!
As ever my thanks go out to all involved…Just Steve and I for this one!
