I know it may be because I have an ex passengers brain, but it always puzzles me why you can't use a Busch replica. You can use new outfits built nearly to F2 spec. No names mentioned.

I know two inches doesn't sound a lot but the regulations spec

f2 sidecars maximum track 1100mm 43.3125"

Classic maximum track 1041mm 41"

So that puts an even bigger gap between modern classics and modern f2s.

Is there really no regulations for dimensions on modern outfits now?

I have just got a race program for the August Bank Holiday meeting at Cadwell Park in 1947 and the capacity for the sidecar class is very interesting,it is any sized engine, perhaps we could go back to that. :D :D

It was never 43" that was what the ACU specified in the past for F2's.

The CRMC firmed up some old rules along with bringing in some new rules in 2013 including outfit dimensions.

The aim was to keep the new modern chassis's relatively close to period outfits but also make sure they didn't exclude anyone currently racing with the club.

Information was gathered from the likes of Mike Richards, rod bellas, Terry windle, D&D and others who have built classic chassis's in the past and present.

All the current rules and regs are on the CRMC website.
