Is the Sunday bit missing Steve or are the F2 Sidecars only getting one race when the club sidecars get two ?

Who dropped the oil? Was it a solo or sidecar?
Hey! hang on a minute . . .
Re: Silverstone British FII and RKB Bemsee F1/F2
somebody in our race, they dusted the track and run the british f2 then called it a day so my solo racing mate told me. The oil was all round the track.

it was a club Sidecar that unfortunately dropped the oil, usual mutturs around the solo paddock, but they caused all the delays on Saturday the National boys were a credit to our sport, immaculate, safe fast.spectacular spectacle ,with a superb finish rate

Re: Silverstone British FII and RKB Bemsee F1/F2
That shouldn't be happening in the modern world.
Making trite excuses doesn't help either Bruce. There is a world of difference between causing delays and causing a complete abandonment.
Sidecars have come such a long way since the bad old days, don't accept that it's just "one of those things" - find out why it happened and prevent a recurrence. Most sidecars are really pro-active in this respect and I bet/hope that the team are looking at it today trying to figure out what they can do to improve matters.

I should think he is. He was very gutted to put people out, and also said he really didn't know he was losing oil til the rod came out.

Re: Silverstone British FII and RKB Bemsee F1/F2
EXACTLY!
Nobody blows up on purpose. When it does go wrong like that though, it's no good just saying "but the solos caused delays yesterday"
Sidecar teams as a whole are generally very responsible and that is why I know the team will be looking at it today. That wasn't in question at all.
Passengers are usually the first to know that an outfit is losing oil and I know they take it very seriously, so this incident will certainly be one that neither driver or passenger had any idea about the fact that they were losing oil. I don't know how the oil got out and onto the circuit, but whenever something like that happens it has to be looked at as a matter of course.
Sidecars do so much work on making oil containment as good as it can be that to differentiate between the standard of prep work on the "National" outfits and the "Club" outfits does a dis-service to all the hard work that they all put in.

The only hold ups for solos were a couple of crashes but in saying that some of the slidys lost passengers (at least 2 that I heard on my radio) AND there was the slidy upside down at Stowe so it was not just solos holding up on sat. There was also the 2 chains that snapped and a flat tyre in the slidys all had to be pushed back to paddock.
So please do not state it was the solos holding things up as it was the slidys also. Live at let live we are all there to race so enjoy without throwing stones
