Fairing bolts - sprung 1/4 turn fairing bolts- what they called and where from?

Unread post by Haynesy »

Whats the name of the sprung 1/4 turn fairing bolts?

And anyone know where to get any?

We lost a few this weekend.

Thanks.

And cheers to Shaun Hildridige and Wes for lending us a couple on Sunday.

Hi

Called "Dzus fastners" you can google them, but most motor sport suppliers have them. You need to check the type you have to make sure you get the right ones. Hope this helps.

Cheers John - I thought they were called Dzus fasteners, however when I googled them can't find the spring loaded ones which you use with a flat bladed screw driver - only the solo style ones.

I'll keep looking - but any suggestions?

You can get them from Demon Tweeks or Merlin Motorsport or any motorsport parts supplier or even ebay

We always used to stick some gaffer tape over all of ours when they had been tightened............had several pop up at times, even though they were correctly installed....

There are different length fasteners so make sure you get the right ones.
