Round 4 Anglesey 25&26th July 2015 FSRA F350/Post Classic & pre-injection Sidecar Championship

A weekend of opposites Saturday dry and warm Sunday wet and wetter. The Wirral 100 MC hosted both the British F2 championship and our new championship with only five entrants made up of three pre-injection two post classics and for the first time no F350. Joe Heys being the last had sold his 350 to a new owner in Sweden.
But with our five and the seven Wirral 100 club racers we made up a good grid of twelve.

The two new teams to the pre-injection class were Kevin and Steve Morgan, brothers from Shrewsbury and Pete Nuttall with Neil Dutton both teams were on Thunder cats. Marianne Walford and Kerry Hughes made up the third pre-injection.
Tony Wheatley with his brother Neil had better fortune this round with their Ireson TZ 750 Yamaha Dave Tibbles and Mark Edwards with a FJ 1100 Yamaha.

Race one
Morgan brothers 600 Thundercat take the win Tibbles Edwards second Pete Nuttall and Neil Dutton 600 third. The Marianne Walford and Kerry Hughes finish fourth but a seizure again stops the Wheatley brothers TZ.

Race two
A restarted race due to a false start Wheatley’s are away with a flyer until a loose seat stops him on lap three. Again The Morgan’s win Nuttall/Dutton second Tibbles/ Edwards third Walford/ Hughes fourth

Sunday
Race one
Its wet Pete Nuttall decides enough is enough and pulls out of the Sunday wet races so we are down to four but Tony Has the TZ sorted and wets on Morgan brothers again win the TZ takes second a lap down Tibbles/ Edwards and Walford/ Hughes third and fourth.

Race two
Its wetter but the final results were the same as race one maximum points for the weekend go to the Morgan brothers.

Thank you to the Wirral MC who invited us for our fourth round giving us four races around the 1.55 mile Coastal circuit. Special thanks to the Marshalls and officials especially on the Sunday in our British summer weather of cold and rain.

Ten teams in all have entered this year’s new championship hopefully all and more could enter the last two rounds if so it will be a strong case to carry on to a 2016 championship. But even with the low numbers we have boosted the clubs sidecar grids where we are seeing these days more clubs cancelling the sidecar race due to low entries. Wirral’s previous meeting cancelled the sidecar class due to only four entries in total.

Marianne’s 600 Baker Thundercat once belonged to Cooperman and she is asking if anyone has any pictures or know of its colour scheme, as she would like it to be in Cooperman’s colours for East Fortune our next round.

Yes I remember talking about it and you and machine are eligible for the pre-injection class but I was not sure on your final decision. I did the results and report from the result sheets which showed you down as Wirral’s 100 championship.

Sorry Lewis for that I have re done the points table Points are awarded 15.12.10, 8, 7, 6, etc.
