hello just a quick question as me and my granddad are new to the classic scene and we have had a Hillman imp built this year for our first season but having a few problems and been told to go to 'the imp man' but we don't know who he is just that he is in Manchester so if anyone could help us out it will massively appreciated :D

Steve Abbott had a very quick reliable Imp and he is very helpful, give him a call.
Anyhow since 1957

The man you want is Andy Jones - his workshop is in Manchester
He really is an expert on Imps and a good engineer.
Google - Shrigley Engineering
I took the shell off my racing snail thinking it would make him faster.
It just made him more sluggish.

Andy is the IMP Man in the classic rally scene, with a reputation of very quick but reliable motors, he is the man to see.
BEARs sidecar 'Its racing Jim, but not as we know it' ;)

I've had three Imp outfits. We've currently got a 998cc Lynx.

Feel free to contact me with any question, I'll be happy to help if I can.

I build our engines, but get most of the bits from Rodwell Motorsport.
