Engine positioning

Unread post by Jeff »

I have a short F1, and despite it being fantastic around right hand corners, it has always struggled around lefts. Recently I lifted a friend's short F1, and it felt much lighter in the front and it got me thinking, is the engine too far forward and would that cause the difficulty on left hand corners? Would this also be what makes it so good on rights?

Hi Jeff,

How high off the bottom of the chassis is the engine?

My F2 also had handling issues, mostly around lefts. I wouldn't say it is perfect now but it is certainly a lot better since we lowered the engine.
