Stupidity and The Steam Packet Co;
Does the Steam Packet Co have a monopoly on stupidity,I have spent since 9am this morning e mailing the reservations dept to see if I could get an alternative crossing, I have replied to every e mail sent asking for booking refs, details of travel etc so they could investigate alternatives, after about 8 e mails they have decided that I have to wait till 7th March for an alternative a fact they could have said at 9 am,all they have managed to do is alter my existing booking to still the same crossing, bet they don`t have a customer service dept,it would be jammed with complaints

Instead of slagging them off, maybe take the time to call them on 01624 661661 and speak to a human being. Everytime I pick up the phone to them I get helpful and polite responses and normally they fix any request I make.

Re: Stupidity and The Steam Packet Co;
Fitz, I've been trying to phone Steampacket Holidays line since Tuesday to pay an invoice and the automated message says their office is open between 9am and 5pm and to phone back.......I only phone during those times whilst I'm at work so not sure why the message keeps playing!
I phoned the main reservation number and they just said the Holidaysw department is separate so to keep trying! I'll go in tomorrow and pay the invoice over the counter, but it's not always easy to speak to a human being especially at the Steampacket!

Remember the 3 'stops' STOP whingeing, STOP phoning and................STOP going over to the island. They've always been rip-off merchants.

Mainland TT Phil ? Theyve been fantasising about that for years and still are not far from our patch. Alans so correct though lol. Its always been a stupidly expensive place to spend a week or two especialy around June time.

Re: Stupidity and The Steam Packet Co;
Well hitting the harbour wall is probably part of the captains training after all it isn't the first time that's been done, I was especially interested in the article on the front of site about the events company that " wants to significantly improve visitor numbers to TT and Classic TT by 2026" has anyone told them the island is full up and there aren't enough boats and its been that way for years

Re: Stupidity and The Steam Packet Co;
The fast craft is badly damaged and will not be sailing for some time, certainly not over Easter. I'll be surprised if it's ready for TT fortnight. There is a vessel on its' way to the Island to substitute for the fast craft.
No pleasure is worth giving up for the sake of two more years in a geriatric home.
Re: Stupidity and The Steam Packet Co;
No one would believe you if you told them the story in a pub. What a shambles. and we entrust that shower with our lives, and our outfits, and they have the nerve to charge huge prices for the privilege of taking our life`s in their hands.
