GSXR600 K8 Clutch

Unread post by STEVIEBOY491 »

Hi there,
Need a new complete clutch with springs for a GSXR 600 K8. Any recommendations? Bought a EBC heavy duty clutch last time and the springs bound up so I only used the friction plates.

Thanks :D

Steve , use standard Suzuki parts with some Barnett springs. Once we used the Barnett springs we didnt touch a clutch again on Phils 1000 motors.

I bought a Barnett racing kit for an RZ350 once (after stock clutch started to slip). WIth all the Barnett springs installed it required two hands to squeeze the lever (and I have way above average hand strength). Ended up running half Barnett springs and half stock with no further issues.

Geoff, Chris,

Many thanks for your quick response. Getting the standard clutch is easy, ebay etc. I can see Barnett springs for a K8 but they are from America. Can you recommend anyone in the UK?

Hi
we use standart for years. no problem. Put the full clutch package in engine oil for 2 hours or more before putting them in the engine and using them.

T.T.S. Steve. Barnett springs in Suzuki shouldn't make it heavier. They arent that much different to standard but make a difference.
