Dwight Beare

Unread post by steve-e »

My thoughts with Dwight's family and all his friends. Such a lovely bloke.

ACU Events Ltd regrets to announce that Australian sidecar driver Dwight Beare, 27, originally from Melbourne, Australia who was a resident of Onchan in the Isle of Man was killed following an accident near Rhencullen during today’s Sidecar Race 1 at the Isle of Man TT Races. The race was immediately red flagged.

Beare made his TT Races debut in 2014, achieving a 12th place in his second race on the Isle of Man when he competed with father Noel as his passenger. The pair returned to the Isle of Man TT last year, achieving a 17th place in the first sidecar race.

Dwight’s passenger Benjamin Binns, from the Isle of Man, was airlifted to Nobles Hospital where he was described as being stable with a fractured ankle.

ACU Events Ltd wishes to pass on their deepest sympathy to Dwight’s family and friends.

Gutted. Dwight followed his dreams across the world. He couldn't have been more helpful to me this year. Rest in peace mate.

Dwight was one of the most likeable competitors in the paddock, always extending a warm welcome to anyone who called by his awning. His ability to learn circuits quickly and be instantly on the pace was outstanding, running at the front this year in the British Championships, and also on the "real" road races. My thoughts are with Tash, Noel and the rest of the Beare family, and of course Ben for a fast and full recovery.

It is always sad to lose one of the 'family', especially so when it it is one so young with so much still to give to this great sport.

Condolences to Dwight's Mum & Dad and Tash and it was great to see so many of the sidecar family turn out to give them their support at the barbecue they put on in Dwight's honour at his TT paddock camp.
Proud and honoured to be a member of Team Past It.
With age comes wisdom, maturity and responsibility.............unless you race sidecars !
