Hi Ian And Carl the very best of luck for Sat & Fri have a good ride. Its a pity ITV4 missed you out with their interviews considering your consistent practice times.

Although I am not a sidecar buff in general the news of Ian's passing for some reason whacked me out, I think while shooting it was hard to miss his outfit always so bright.

A massive loss to the sidecar world. My condolences to his family

After posting a message for Ian & Carl a week ago I am finding it difficult coming to terms only seven days later that we have lost Ian to an accident during today,s race.My thoughts are with Trudi and the family together with his multitude of friends.I am proud to have been one of them.R.I.P. Ian.

I have never met either Ian or Carl but have read and followed their progress over the years.

I am so so sorry to hear this very sad news.

My thoughts are now with their family and friends at this time and again people I have not met but I really feel for their loss. They are in my thoughts tonight.

Julie

No words I could write would mean anything at the moment.
Our thoughts go out to his family.
So sad.

Truly sad news. Ian will be missed by many and has helped plenty of people along the way. The Scarborough paddock especially won't seem the same without the Bell team van and caravan arriving late and seeing Ian's beaming smile as he drove down the crowded area to his spot at the far end.

Thoughts are with Trudi, Carl and all the family, and not forgetting the Team guys.
Proud and honoured to be a member of Team Past It.
